Crankcase emissions are harmful blowby gases (hydrocarbons, CO, NOx, oil vapor) that leak past piston rings into the engine’s crankcase. They are managed by Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) systems to reduce pollution and maintain engine health. The (PCV) system redirects these gases back into the engine’s intake for re-combustion.
