Noises And Vibrations

Actually, Noises And Vibrations are two different things. But, you could have one or the other, or both at the same time.

Noises you hear. Vibrations you feel. Sometimes you can have both together, making them hard to diagnoses.

Whatever the source of the noise or vibration your vehicle may be experiencing. Always Remember to take note of the conditions, under which the problem occurs. And, always check, engine accessories first.

Common cause of Noises And Vibrations include:

  • Excessive vibration from faulty motor or transmission mount.
  • Drive Belts, including serpentine and timing.
  • Engine Accessories, alternator, power steering, air conditioning.
  • Vacuum Hoses, leaks, cracked or missing.
  • Valve Tapping, lifters or camshaft or rockers.
  • Crankshaft, rods, pistons, flexplate/flywheel and damper.
