(CKP) and (CMP)sensors work together to ensure precise engine timing for fuel injection and ignition. The crankshaft sensor tracks the engine’s rotational speed and position. Which the engine control unit (ECU) uses to time the spark plug firing and fuel injection. The camshaft sensor synchronizes with the crankshaft to identify which cylinder is on its compression stroke. Allowing the (ECU) to activate the correct injector and coil at the right time.
