Vacuum Leak

A vacuum leak in a vehicle is an unwanted opening (like a crack or loose hose) in the engine’s intake system. It lets extra, unmeasured air into the engine, disrupting the ideal air-fuel ratio. And can cause rough idling, stalling, poor performance, or a hissing sound, and often triggering the Check Engine Light (CEL).
