A lean misfire in an engine means there’s too much air and not enough fuel in the combustion chamber.
And Can Cause:
- Rough idle
- Poor acceleration
- Check engine lights (CEL)
And Is Most Often Due To:
- Vacuum leaks (cracked hoses, bad intake gaskets)
- Dirty mass airflow (MAF) sensors
- Fuel system issues (weak pump, clogged filter, bad injectors)
- Stuck (EGR) valve, leading to engine damage if ignored.
