High fuel pressure means the fuel system is operating above specifications. Often due to a bad pressure regulator, clogged return line, or faulty sensors. This can lead to engine performance issues (running rich, misfires, black spark plugs), poor fuel economy. And a potential check engine lights (CEL) with a (P0088 (DTC) code). Causes include malfunctioning regulators, obstructed return lines, or a failing high-pressure pump.
